A Sustainable Farming Initiative by the Department of Zoology

On January 17, 2025, the Department of Zoology, The Cochin College, under the DBT Star College Scheme, successfully conducted a premium GIFT Tilapia sale. The event showcased the harvest of sustainably farmed Genetically Improved Farmed Tilapia (GIFT) from the college’s aquaponics system, promoting eco-friendly fish farming and sustainable food production.
