The session aimed to create awareness among students about fire safety, prevention techniques, and the importance of being prepared for emergencies. It also sought to equip participants with practical knowledge to handle fire-related situations and ensure safety within academic and workplace environments.
The Department of Business Administration (AICTE Accredited) and the Department of Commerce (SF), in association with IQAC, jointly organized a Fire Safety Awareness Program titled “Be Fire-Ready, Save Lives” on September 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM in FGI 17. The session was handled by Mr. Ranjith Kumar, Station Head, Mattanchery Fire Force, Kochi. He demonstrated various fire safety practices, explained the functioning of fire extinguishers, and discussed preventive measures to avoid fire hazards. Students were educated on how to act effectively and responsibly during fire emergencies.
Students gained valuable insights into fire safety, emergency response, and preventive care. The live demonstration enhanced their awareness and preparedness for real-life emergency situations. The session was highly informative and engaging.
