Asmin N, Assistant Professor of English, joined the department in 2017 and was appointed as a Mentor for the prestigious Young Innovators Programme (YIP) from 2018 to 2021, a significant initiative led by the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). Ms. Asmin N’s literary prowess extends beyond the classroom, as evidenced by her inclusion in the esteemed HBB Micro Fiction Anthology (Horror) in 2019. She has ventured into the realm of filmmaking, demonstrating her versatility as a writer and storyteller. She scripted and penned the screenplay for the short film “The Resurrected,” showcased at Sinthanai Sangamam, an esteemed annual educational symposium hosted by the Azim Premji Foundation in Puducherry. Through her cinematic endeavors, she continues to explore innovative avenues for creative expression and narrative exploration. Her area of interest include Contemporary fiction and Cultural Studies specially the intersection between Popular culture and Literature.
