1. Development of an Advanced Fuzzy-Logic based Disease Model for Dengue along with Framework for Geospacial Public Health network

The Center for Advancement of Global Health (CAGH) signed an MOU with The Cochin College to enable the students of the department of Zoology to undertake academic projects as part of their curriculum in relation to the topics which aims to develop a mathematical model for predicting the distribution of the Aedes mosquito (carrier of dengue viral infection) within a community.

The college would serve as a nodal centre helping in the implementation and monitoring of the academic project of students needed for the completion of the data collection involved in the study. CAGH has been awarded a 2-year project from Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. It is an operational arm of the Society for Advancement of Global Health (SAGH) a charitable society registered with the government of Kerala. CAGH aims to improve public health though sharing knowledge and using IT in common sense ways to save resources and strengthen the public health system. CAGH has support and collaborations with academicians and scientists from around the world, and is particularly interested in supporting young people by providing useful opportunities for hands-on work and volunteering.
