Department of Bio-Chemistry (Aided)

Vision

We envision a Biochemistry Department that serves as a vital bridge between the realms of botany and Biotechnology, offering BSc Botany students a unique opportunity to delve into the intricate biochemical processes underpinning plant life. Department aims to seamlessly integrate biochemistry into the curriculum of BSc Botany students, enriching their educational experience and also aims to equip students with practical laboratory skills, including and biochemical assays

Mission

The mission of an educational biochemistry department is to advance the understanding of biochemical principles and their applications. This includes offering courses and programs that teach the fundamentals of biochemistry, molecular biology, and related fields. The department should strive to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their academics. Promoting diversity and inclusion is essential to creating a welcoming and equitable learning and research environment. The department should actively work to ensure that people from all backgrounds have equal opportunities to participate in and contribute to biochemistry education
