National Mathematics day

In connection with Association Inauguration, the Department of Mathematics, The Cochin College, Kochi 2, conducted a seminar on the topic “Some problems in Probability Theory” on 08-12-2021 at 11.30 am to 12.30 pm in the College. The common gathering began with a prayer. The gathering was anchored by Ms. Anjana A, II B.Sc. Mathematics. The formal welcome speech was delivered by Mr Amal Pavithran, Head of the Department of Mathematics. The crowd was addressed by Mr Amal Pavithran. The speaker of the day, Dr. A. Krishnamoorthy, Honorary Visiting Professor of Central University ,Kerala engaged the section. The session began with thought provoking question which was mean to analysis knowledge about Indian Mathematician. He speaks about some problems in Probability Theory, the lecture was well attended by faculty members, UG and PG students of Mathematics Department. The event was concluded after delivering vote of thanks by Ms. Hajara Sherin A at 12.45 pm. After the session the fresher day celebration started at 4.00 pm. A small token of gift has presented to Dr. A. Krishnamoorthy, by Dr. Meera Menon Academic Head, The Cochin College, Kochi -02.
